Junior runners finish top in Stockport schools cross country league

Junior School cross country runners

Cross country runners in the Junior School are celebrating after they achieved some outstanding results in the Stockport Harriers schools cross country league, with the year five and year six girls’ team winning the competition for their age group and Joe Davidson finishing first in the boys’ years three and four category.

And there were plenty more finishes in the upper reaches of the leagues for our other runners: the year three and year four boys’ team finished second in their category; the girls’ team came third; and, individually in their respective age groups, Daisy Hanson finished second, Morgan Hanson was placed seventh and Christine Bradley came ninth.

Over 30 runners from the school entered the league. With runners having to compete over a tough and muddy course one Saturday every month throughout the winter, every pupil can be proud of their achievements.
