Pupils' artwork at Living Edge school arts competition

3 of our pupils had the honour of having their artwork displayed at the Lowry in Salford at the weekend as part of the 11th Living Edge school arts competition.

Gabriella Watkins, Amie Meadows and Ellie Broster can all be proud of being chosen to represent Stockport Grammar School at the exhibition, but Ellie can be particularly pleased after the judging panel of some of the north-west’s leading artists highly commended her piece (pictured above).

Pupils from the school regularly excel in the contest. In 2009, Simon Howard and Jenny McLoughlin were highly commended and finished as a runner-up respectively while last year, Sophie Watson beat off competition from other schools in Cheshire and south Manchester to win in the U18s category.
