Pupils preparing entries for Animation11 competition

Pupils in animation club are busy putting the finishing touches to their entries for this year’s UK schools computer animation competition, hosted by the University of Manchester.

Our animators are using multimedia authoring software Adobe Flash to create their animations, which must be inspired from the taught curriculum, before Friday’s deadline. Shortlisted winners will be announced in May, before July’s awards ceremony.

This year’s entrants will be hoping to follow in the footsteps of Alex Longson, Daniel Paigge, Matthew Holgate and Milan Lakhani, who picked up a runners-up prize in last year’s competition for their Andy’s Electrostatics animation.
