In front of an audience of children and finalists’ parents, and of course the adjudicator, the children delighted us with a whole range of musical styles and instruments at last week’s Junior School house music competition final.
While we had many pianists performing, we also had violinists, a double bass player, a tenor horn player, a guitarist and even an accordion player.
Mrs Elena Short from the Senior School Music department had the unenviable task of judging the competition. As the standard rose with the later year groups, she admitted it was a difficult job. The winners for each category however, were:
- Year three – George Zelhof
- Year four – James Nichols
- Year five – Isobel Croft
- Year six – Alex Chu
- Vocalist – India Menaged
Well done to all of the pupils who participated in the early rounds and to the brave finalists. Congratulations to the winners.
