Lake District trip helps pupils enjoy an active summer

Pupils on Grasmere outdoor pursuits trip

70 second year pupils spent four days of their summer breaks enjoying a variety of outdoor pursuits on our annual trip to Grasmere in the Lake District.

Based at the village’s Butharlyp Howe youth hostel, pupils climbed rocks, kayaked on Derwentwater and spent a whole day in Stickle Ghyll where they climbed up and abseiled down waterfalls, pool jumped and traversed rocks.

Excellent weather was enjoyed throughout the visit, and Mrs Muscutt has just launched next year’s trip. Parents should expect to receive a letter containing more details soon.
