Language pupils from the fifth year and lower sixth form are in Madrid this week to practise their Spanish and learn about the country’s culture – and you can keep up to date with the trip on their special blog.
After jetting off from Liverpool airport on Wednesday, the group had little time to rest before being given tasks which involved them interacting in Spanish with the locals.
A busy Thursday then involved a trip to the world’s largest bullring and, for lunch, a tapas preparation session. The pupils made gazpacho, tortilla española and pan con mousse de queso y jamón, and then headed off to Retiro park for a relaxing afternoon on the boating lake and in the sunshine.
