A Halloween pumpkin competition has helped to raise money for – and raise awareness of – a new Junior School garden.
The land for the garden was cleared over the summer break, and the children will soon be consulted about the project and encouraged to put forward their ideas as to how it will be developed.
The pumpkin competition’s 50p entry fee will help to purchase materials for the garden, and has also raised awareness of the project among the pupils and staff.
Any parents who are able to help, whether it be hands-on or via a donation, are encouraged to contact Mrs Catherine Hampson or Mrs Claire Nichols in the Junior School.
