Transport lecture prepares sixth form pupils for new year

Transport lecture

Upper sixth Economics and Geography pupils prepared for the new year by attending the school’s third annual transport lecture hosted by Richard Barnes, Stockport council’s policy officer for transport.

Held in the library, the talk covered transport planning, economic modelling and sustainability and accessibility policies, as well as the effects the government’s austerity measurements were having on the topics.

The lecture provided a perfect revision session ahead of our economists’ January exams, and also acted as a taster for our geographers who begin their study of cities just after Christmas.
