GCSE artists inspired by Liverpool galleries trip

A trip to Liverpool’s Walker Art Gallery and World Museum earlier in the week provided the perfect venues for our GCSE artists to prepare for their controlled assessments.

Our pupils used the Walker’s splendid exhibition of art books by Henri Matisse – on public display for the first time in the UK – and their excellent permanent collections to gather some valuable primary source material for their forthcoming assessments.

A visit to the World Museum next door was just as beneficial, meaning our artists brought home plenty of inspiration from their trip down the M62.
