Cheadle Hulme-based charity the Seashell Trust were presented with a cheque for £385 on Thursday by our Junior School children who raised the money during their annual charity week.
The charity, formerly known as Royal Schools for the Deaf, helps people with sensory impairment and learning and communication difficulties. A representative from the trust visited assembly last week to thank the boys and girls for raising the money and to explain how it would be spent.
The money was raised thanks to the enthusiastic participation of the children, from the nursery through to year six, in a number of fundraising events held during February’s charity week, including dressing up, quizzes, a toy raffle and a cake sale.
Mrs Lisa Turner, the Junior School charity coordinator, would like to thank everybody for their generosity during the week.
