First year pupils to write new stories for the infants

First Year pupils reading with Infant child

Form 1S from the Senior School visited their namesakes in infant class 1S yesterday morning to help them prepare for an exciting reading project as part of their English lessons.

Our Senior pupils are going to be writing some new stories for our infants, and yesterday’s meet-up gave the children in the Junior School the chance to tell their new friends exactly what they’d like to read about.

After swapping lots of ideas about dinosaurs, princesses, superheroes and bunny rabbits, the infants then had a turn to practice reading their favourite storybooks to the Seniors.

Back in the Senior School, form 1S will spend their next few lessons writing stories to their infant partners’ requirements and will return to the class after Easter to read their new tales together.
