Oxbridge success for the upper sixth

Oxbridge candidates

12 members of the upper sixth are celebrating offers from Oxford and Cambridge. Bristol, Durham, UCL, King’s College London and Imperial College are among the other Russell Group destinations for which pupils now hold offers.

Last year Stockport Grammar School was identified by the Sutton Trust as one of 10 schools nationally having a significantly higher acceptance rate to university than other institutions with similar A-level results.

The pupils’ achievements are indicative of their academic performance and the high quality help and guidance at Stockport Grammar School highlighted by the Sutton Trust’s findings. The staff are committed to supporting all pupils in achieving their full potential and pursuing their chosen education and career paths.
