Mayrhofen in Austria was the destination for this year’s February half-term ski trip, with 31 pupils from all years of the Senior School taking to the slopes.
Deep snow provided the perfect opportunity for our skiers – who varied from beginners to the experienced – to find their feet on the resort’s wide range of runs.
Later on in the week, high winds and poor visibility helped teach the pupils important lessons about skiing in tougher conditions, a challenge which they all embraced.
There was plenty of time for fun away from the pistes too. As well as the excellent accommodation, pupils enjoyed ice skating, bowling, an ice cream evening and a trip to a water park, while a glorious final day of sunshine offered the group fantastic views from the mountains.
