Stops scored some good goals, especially on breaks, but were outplayed by a well drilled Norbury team.
A relatively inexperienced defence of Woodside, Chandler and Day, well supported by Mark Woodhead in goal, did a good job against a capable Norbury team, but despite trailing only narrowly by three goals to five at half-time, Stops could not close the gap.
Norbury pulled ahead to 8-4 by three-quarter time and had scored a total of 13 by the final whistle.
Peter Woodhead, captaining the home side, worked consistently hard throughout the game and was leading scorer.
Again Stops were handicapped by having a squad of only 11, and attention now turns to getting out a full strength team for the final crucial game this weekend against Nottingham.
