Sixth form canoeist Alastair Paterson needs your votes to help him realise his dream of competing in the 2016 Olympics in Rio.
Alastair currently trains every night of the week and, despite having only competed for two years, has already chalked up an impressive amount of achievements as he successfully balances the sport with his academic commitments. As well as all this, he still finds time to pass on his expertise to those further down the school by helping out at the Junior School canoe club.
With sponsorship with the Bring on Tomorrow Foundation on offer, Alastair needs your votes to keep him in the top 10 and send him through to the next round of the competition where he will have to inspire the judging panel in order to win one of the two deals on offer.
Alastair aspires to be an Olympic champion by 2020 and would really appreciate your vote. Should he win the competition, the sponsorship deal will include:
- £1000 towards training, kit and competition costs
- Training days with world class athletes
- Athlete development from industry experts
- A year’s supply of sport shakes
- Training kit
