Trojan horse competition won by Hassan and Theo

Hassan Hussain's Trojan horse

After learning about the Trojan war in their Classics lessons, pupils from Mr Corbett’s first year classes spent their Easter holidays making their very own wooden horses.

The horses – which ranged from small, delicate creations to large-scale, intricate models – were put on display in the exhibition room during the first two days of summer term for pupils and staff to admire and vote for their favourites.

Over 125 votes were cast, with Hassan Hussain’s horse with model men abseiling from its body (pictured above) and Theo Kelly’s papier-mâché entry being picked as the eventual winners.

Well done to our two winners and everybody who took part.
