Christmas fair raises thousands for charity and school projects

Christmas fair

Thank you to all who helped make the parents’ association Christmas fair at the weekend such a huge success. An early count showed an estimated profit of around £9000 to be divided between school projects and local charities.

The fair attracted busy crowds of all ages, tempted by the dozens of activities and stalls which ranged from the traditional Santa’s grotto and bauble decorating to the slightly more ambitious chair carousel and arcade games.

As well as raising money for the parents’ association’s chosen charities, the profits will also go towards another new school minibus.

In recent years, events like the Christmas fair have helped the SPA donate tens of thousands of pounds to school projects, including a state-of-the-art lighting system for the main hall, software for the school’s animation club and new gym equipment.
