London galleries trip helps develop sixth form artists’ portfolios

Art pupils in London gallery

All of our sixth form artists travelled to London last week to visit some of the capital’s most famous galleries.

Our artists managed to fit in viewings of the works at the Tate Modern, Tate Britain and National Gallery, while a smaller group visited the British Museum and the V&A.

Our pupils’ sketches from the day will be used to develop their portfolios, while the trip will also help inform our artists’ critical responses which form part of the extended essay in the second year of the A-level.
