Old Stop Phil and current pupil Thea both win nationwide model search

Old Stopfordian Phil Ellis (OS 2011) has won the male half of a nationwide search to discover the next big thing in the world of modelling, alongside female winner Thea Hudson – a current pupil at Stockport Grammar.

Run by clothing label Religion and leading agency Premier Model Management, the competition looked for two new faces to star in Religion’s autumn and winter lookbook campaign.

Modelling contracts

As winners, Phillip and Thea both receive a contract with Premier Model Management and £800 to spend on Religion clothing at House of Fraser.

Stunning A-level artwork

While at Stockport Grammar, Phil’s stunning A-level artwork earned him an A* in Art, alongside two A grades in Textiles and Geography. After a year completing an art foundation course at Manchester Metropolitan University, where he won their fashion illustration prize, he is now at top London fashion college Central Saint Martins.

Thea, currently in the fifth year, hopes to take A-levels in Textiles, Maths, French and Chemistry, and is interested in a career in fashion buying.
