Our under-14s hockey squad have discovered who stands in their way of being crowned the best in England following the draw for the finals of the National Schools Championships for Girls.
The girls have played magnificently to reach the national finals, storming through the tournament’s Greater Manchester and north-west rounds by winning every single game and then confirming their status as the best in the north with a series of brilliant performances to win December’s north finals in Leeds.
The national finals, to be played on at Cannock HC’s Chase Park ground on Thursday 28th February, will see the girls face Clifton College, Repton and either Queenswood or Cranleigh in pool B. The group winners will then face the top-placed team from pool A as they battle it out for the title of national champions.
Entry for spectators is free, although the club will make a small charge for parking. Programmes will be available for £2 each and will be sold by volunteers from Cannock HC, which is located at Chase Park, Church Lane, Hatherton, Cannock, Staffordshire WS11 1RR.
Our girls will play their first game at 10.50am, with any final and third-place playoff games starting at 3.30pm.
