Adventurers enjoy long weekend in Grasmere

Pupils damming river in Grasmere

Adventurers from our second year enjoyed perfect weather for plunging into rivers and climbing crags during a long weekend of adventure in Grasmere earlier this summer.

As always, the highlight of the annual trip to the Lakes was the physically challenging but tremendously fun day of scaling waterfalls, pool-jumping and traversing rocks in Stickle Ghyll, all under the guidance of climbing professionals.

Based at a youth hostel in Grasmere, our pupils also explored the area’s breathtaking scenery during walks of the surrounding areas and had plenty of time to relax in the picturesque village as they recharged their batteries ahead of their next activities, which included kayaking on Derwentwater, abseiling and rock climbing.

Mrs Muscutt has just launched next year’s Grasmere trip and parents of second year pupils can find more information on how to apply on our trips page.
