Rugby 1st XV through in NatWest Cup

Rugby conversion

Round five of the NatWest Schools Cup awaits for our rugby 1st XV after they continued their unbeaten start to the season with a 27-7 victory against King’s Macclesfield, while our U15s have progressed in the vase competition.

The 1st XV, sponsored again this year by Beeley & Co Solicitors, beat Macclesfield with tries from John Paul Tyrrell, Ciaran Johnson and captain and head boy Tom Morton, who also converted every try.

Next up for the boys is a tough tie away against the Grammar School at Leeds in round four, to be played in the next fortnight.

NatWest Schools Vase

There was cup progress too for our U15s, who are through to the fourth round of the NatWest Schools Vase after winning 43-19 at Audenshaw last weekend. A tie against the winners of Stonyhurst College v Bury Grammar awaits the squad.
