Nicholas Henshall writing for History Today

Former Head of History, Nicholas Henshall (OS 1964) continues his respected academic career as a contributor to the monthly journal History Today.

Nick’s latest article, published in the November edition of the magazine, examines the politics of aristocratic culture in Europe between 1650 and 1750 and can be viewed here.

He is remembered fondly by many of his former pupils, but not all will know that Nick is a former editor of History Review and has had two academic books published, The Zenith of European Monarchy and Its Elites: The Politics of Culture, 1650-1750 and The Myth of Absolutism: Change and Continuity in Early Modern European Monarchy.
