Junior School pupils were recognised for their outstanding contributions to school life at our annual prizegiving ceremony.
England Cricket Board and Lancashire County Cricket Club coach assessor Dr Mark Butler joined us to reward those children who had excelled in their subjects, sport and in improving the life of the school during the last year.
Parents, governors and staff watched on during a ceremony which also included some brilliant musical performances from the orchestra and a stunning piano solo by Kanei Nishii, as well as speeches from Dr Butler, acting headmaster Mr Simon Milnes and retiring chairman of governors Mr Ron Astles.
Year six leavers
Nursery manager Miss Carla Peake was also onstage to help present mementoes to our year six leavers moving upwards to senior school, many of whom were in our first ever nursery class in 2006.
A gallery featuring more photos from prizegiving, including pupils receiving their prizes, can be viewed on our Facebook page.
Senior School speech day
The Stockport Plaza hosted our Senior School speech day a week earlier, when Old Stopfordian, former Royal Marine commando and a major force behind turning Harry Potter into a blockbuster movie Bruce Marshall (OS 1974) was our guest of honour.
