London to Paris ride raises £1,200 for charity

Old Stop cyclists at Eiffel Tower

Old Stops Tom McKelvey, William Gray and Simon King (all OS 2007) cycled from London to Paris in seconds under 24 hours – and raised over £1,200 for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Tom (pictured second from left), William (third from right) and Simon (far right) arrived at the Eiffel Tower in Paris 23 hours, 59 minutes and 30 seconds after they had left the Shard in London!

Physical limits

A short break with very little sleep on the Newhaven to Dieppe ferry provided the team with their only rest of the epic journey, and Tom told us:

A great time was had by all and we were certainly pushed to our physical limits. Despite some sore legs the next day, we’re already planning our next ride!
