Children throughout the school have been supporting Key 103’s Mission Christmas campaign to deliver gifts to those who would otherwise wake up to nothing on Christmas morning.
Our pupils’ donations will help make the mornings of 150,000 Manchester children living in poverty who are not expecting a visit from Santa this year.
The junior school have been supporting Key 103’s Cash for Kids campaigns for the last two years and were invited along to meet Mike and Chelsea from the station as they presented their breakfast show from the Mission Christmas base.
Cash and gifts
Over in the senior school, our pupils haven’t just been donating gifts – they’ve also been raising cash for the cause.
Their £320 – and counting – will be used to buy even more presents for local children.
Toys can still be donated at the Arco warehouse in Trafford Park, or if you’d prefer to give cash you can donate via the Cash for Kids website.
More Christmas fundraising
Children in the juniors have also been putting presents under the tree for the Salvation Army and selling toys to raise money for Francis House, while a group of senior school carol singers raised over £200 for Clic Sargent by entertaining Christmas shoppers at Handforth Dean.
This year’s parents’ association Christmas fair also raised an incredible £10,500 for charity and school funds.
