Our year one children learned all about rodents and reptiles when they spent a lesson at our senior school animal club.
The infant pupils had been studying the animals in their science lessons, so their trip to the biology lab let them meet the creatures that they’d been hearing so much about.
Our senior school first year pupils – whose job it is to look after the animals at the club – let the boys and girls stroke and hold the mice, snakes, turtles and lizards while they learned lots of fascinating nature facts from biology teacher Mrs Elizabeth Niven.
Senior school animal club meets twice a week and is part our extracurricular provision which was judged to be outstanding in the school’s most recent Independent Schools Inspectorate inspection.
