Mathematicians from Arden house won this year’s junior school maths challenge after completing three fun rounds of quizzes.
The competition featured three tough challenges – including a mathematical relay race – that put our year six children’s numerical knowledge to the test.
Kia Gerami, Nicholas Othen, William Insley and Maddy Lear won the team award and took home BrainBox maths games as prizes, with pupils from Arden winning house points that go towards earning pupils small rewards throughout the year.

Our infants learned about man-made materials when they visited the senior school design technology workshop in January, and teachers like head of art Mr Richard Davies, head of classics Mr Alastair Thorley and physics teacher Dr Lucy Pitts take annual lessons as part of the junior school curriculum.
Swimming, canoe club and climbing are some of the junior school extracurricular activities that take advantage of the first-class facilities in the senior school, while staff from our classics department run the year five and six Latin club.
