Great British Bake Off finalist Luis Troyano picked Megan King and Charlotte O’Hara as the star bakers in our inaugural cake competition.
Each of our four houses were represented by contestants who had one hour to present their “showstopper” bakes.
Luis was joined on the judging panel by the Cake and Bake Company’s Michelle and Tony Paton and told us that the afternoon “was a lot of fun and the pupils seemed to really enjoy it.”
Megan and Charlotte won the star baker award for their Easter nest, with other pupils’ ideas ranging from “pizza” cakes to Chanel handbags.
Arden house won our house prize, with Leah Bird and 2014 school Masterchef champion Chris Corcoran taking second and third place.
