Earlier this month, lower sixth artists visited Anglesey for a three day residential trip.
Returning to school after the completion of their AS exams, our lower sixth pupils enjoyed spending three days in Anglesey. The pupils based themselves at Trearddur Bay on the west coast of the island and sat with their sketchbooks in the sand to be inspired by the landscape.
The group were blessed with sunny weather that gave them plenty of time to work outside and allowed them to take advantage of the long summer evenings.
Mr Davies and Dr Kamplemann who accompanied the group commented that the opportunity to work within the landscape, on both broad vistas and more detailed studies, will prove invaluable as the course continues. The pupils thoroughly enjoyed the trip and were able to source materials that will be used in the development of their work next year.
