Lower Sixth Business and Economics students have attended Manchester Business School for an event organised by Manchester Society of Chartered Accountants.
The event involved insightful talks by professionals including speeches about graduate and school leaver experiences.
Following the lectures, the pupils had the chance to visit the employer exhibition which was a great experience for them to network and establish useful contacts.
During the event, they met Old Stop Luke Greasley (OS 2007) who now works for accounting firm Beever and Struthers. He spent a long time talking to our lower sixth pupils, telling them how the school had provided him with the best possible foundation to start his career. He gave them a great insight into his professional progression since leaving the school.
The pupils felt the experience supported their class studies and gave them a further understanding on how they wish to progress after completing their A levels.
