Last week those in need of food in Stockport benefited from our Junior School pupils’ generous Harvest festival donations.
Over the last few weeks parents have kindly donated tinned food, pasta, chocolates, coffee, sugar, fruit, vegetables and much more.
Boys and girls from year four delivered food parcels to residents living in local sheltered housing, with the remainder being donated to Stockport charity the Wellspring to provide lunches for homeless people in the town.
During a Harvest festival assembly, the children were taught exactly how their donations will help those less fortunate than themselves.
Reception also baked bread to help them learn about harvesting crops and what the grains are used for.
Thank you to everyone who contributed.
