Throughout the Autumn term the infants invited parents into the school for art and activity afternoons.
Earlier in the term year 2 welcomed parents and grandparents to join them for an art afternoon. The children enjoyed creating two different pieces of artwork. The first was a paper collage of their own faces based on the portrait work they have been learning about during their study of L S Lowry.
The second was linked to their work on the season of Autumn. Using a wide variety of objects collected on their individual scavenger hunts, each child created an animal of their choice.
Our year 1 pupils brought their reading to life when they made animal masks. The children read The Tiger Who Came to Tea in class and invited their parents in to get involved with their art session.

The mask making complements the book we have been reading and the children really enjoyed making their tiger faces. Parents also enjoyed the chance to see what kinds of activities their children do in school.
