Chamber choir on song at music festival

The Junior Chamber Choir hit all the right notes at this year’s Heaton Mersey Youth Festival.

They performed two songs in the ‘Own Choice Programme’ category and achieved a mark of 87 (Distinction) for an excellent display. The blend between the boys and girls voices was noted and the judge was impressed with the choir’s enthusiasm and confident delivery.

In another category the choir achieved a mark of 84 (Commended) for a convincing performance of John Rutter’s ‘A Flower Remembered’.

It was a great experience for the group to perform in a new venue and one that they thoroughly enjoyed. They were delighted to come away with a trophy and will be looking to build upon this impressive achievement.
