Bursary Golf Day a success despite the downpours

Thursday 16th June saw the 13th annual Stockport Grammar School Bursary Golf Day in association with Vernon Building Society at Stockport Golf Club. 

Despite typical British summer weather 20 teams of four braved the downpours to enjoy a round of golf in aid of the Bursary Fund.

Congratulations to the team from R Noone & Son who won the competition closely followed by SAS Daniels in second, the Stockport Grammar School Golf Society team in third place and F.R. Monkhouse in fourth.

Also winners on the day were SGS 2nd Year pupil Sam Hall who won the nearest the pin and Xavier Brooke who had the longest drive at the 10th hole.

A great atmosphere and fabulous food was enjoyed by all in an afternoon which raised over £5,900 for the Bursary Fund.
