EducAid charity to benefit from Music from the Movies night

EducAid, one of the school’s chosen charities for the 2016/17 academic year, is to benefit from a ‘Music from the Movies’ fundraising concert featuring The Marple Band.

The event, which takes place in the Dining Hall on Friday 7th April at 7.30pm, sees The Marple Band play music from a range of movies and a film quiz and raffle take place.

EducAid is a UK based charity that promotes and provides high quality, holistic education to the underprivileged and war affected young people of Sierra Leone. Over the past 10 years the school has built up a close relationship with the charity and supported the project through various events, activities and collaborative work during lesson time.

Tickets for the event cost £8 for adults, £6 for concessions (children and adults over 60) and £20 for a family ticket (two adults and two children). A coffee/tea or soft drink is included in the ticket price and other drinks and refreshments will be available for purchase.

To book your tickets please contact Mrs Ruth Groves by email at or by calling 01457 864054.

The concert will also help replace uniforms for The Marple Band.
