Tremendous turnout at annual Maths Competition

176 year five children from local primary schools took part in our annual Maths Competition.

The competition, which was split into two sessions on the day, saw teams of four pit their maths wits against each other across three rounds which tested both team work and individual skills in a series of fun activities including relay races.

Congratulations go to the team from Greenbank Preparatory School who won the morning session, closely followed by Forest Park Preparatory School in second and Didsbury Road Primary School in third place.

The afternoon session’s victors were the team from Romiley Primary School with St Ambrose Preparatory School in second and Prestbury Church of England Primary School in third position.

The Maths department were very impressed by the high standard of Maths produced and the fantastic sportsmanship displayed by all who took part. Headmaster Mr Andrew Chicken awarded the prizes and congratulated all the teams for representing their schools.
