Christmas Card Carols by John Turner

Renowned British recorder player and fellow Old Stopfordian, John Turner (OS 1961), has released his new album ‘Christmas Card Carols’.  The album includes a collection of striking and varied new carols composed by John Turner, and features the work of Stockport Grammar’s inspirational former music master, Mr Douglas Steele.

The album is a mixed programme of Nativity carols presented in a traditional style by the chamber choir Intimate Voices.  It also features sopranos Sasha Johnson Manning, Eleanor Gregory and Philippa Hyde in solo and duet pieces, with some obbligato harp and oboe.
