Infant Nativities are full of Christmas cheer

Children from Pre-Reception to Year Two took to the stage to delight their audiences with Christmas stories both old and new.

The Infant children put on a series of performances so that their families and the older pupils could all enjoy their enthusiastic singing and acting in an array of fabulous costumes.

Pre-Reception and Reception classes teamed up to tell the traditional Nativity story entitled ‘A King is Born’ whilst Years One and Two’s production ‘Baubles’ was a Christmas story about a toy maker who rushed to make all the baubles for his tree in time for Christmas.

Georgia who played Mary said of her role: “It was fun and I enjoyed dressing up, I had three lines to learn and my husband Joseph had six. They were easy to remember because I like acting.”

James enjoyed his role as a king: “I really liked dressing up as a king and the best bit was giving the present to Joseph. Singing was fun, I have been learning the words to the songs at home with my Mummy.”

The Early Years team are: “So proud of the children for speaking so clearly, dancing enthusiastically and singing with gusto!”

Pre-Reception Manager Miss Carla Peake added: “The Pre-Reception children have thoroughly enjoyed all of the singing and dancing involved in the EYFS Nativity ‘A King is Born’.  We think some stars were born too!”

With fantastic singing to get the audience in the Christmas spirit, ballet dancing angels and sheep joining in a funky-fun dance, both plays hit all the right notes and sent the audiences away smiling.
