Apply to the Sixth Form

When it comes to the time to look at the next step on your child’s educational journey, our Sixth Form provides your son or daughter with the perfect platform to build upon the knowledge they already have and to make sure they reach their potential if they decide to continue their voyage into further education.

You can apply for a place in the Sixth Form by downloading an admission form and returning it with a cheque for £40 made payable to Stockport Grammar School to:

Interview

Applicants and their parents will be invited for an interview with Headmaster Mr Andrew Chicken and Head of Sixth Form Mr David Stone.

Offer of a place

Applicants may be offered a place subject to expected GCSE grades being achieved and a suitable reference from the applicant’s current school.

Typical offers require six grade 7s (A) or higher at GCSE with at least a grade 7 in the subjects chosen for study at A-level.
