The 11th annual Stockport Grammar School Year 5 Art Competition welcomed 84 artists from 11 local primary schools to an exhibition evening to showcase their work to family and friends.

Taster Day dates for 2024
This summer we are running three Senior School Taster Days for Year 5 children from local primary schools on Wednesday 22nd May, Thursday 23rd May and Wednesday 19th June. The days will be focused around a series of fun and educational activities.

Synagogue visit furthers pupils’ understanding of Jewish faith
As part of their places of worship visits, Second Year Religion, Philosophy and Ethics pupils visited Gatley Synagogue (Yeshurun Hebrew Congregation) to learn more about the Jewish faith. The trip took place just before the festival of Hanukkah.

50 Fifth Year pupils studying History and Religion, Philosophy and Ethics at GCSE gained more contextual understanding of the topics covered in the classroom as they visited the Polish city of Krakow.

Drama students take panto on the road
This Christmas season, SGS took their panto ‘Cinderella’ on the road as they visited Blackfriars Academy to perform their hilarious take on the classic fairy tale and to run workshops with the drama students at the special school.
