Bronze

If you are in the Third Year at Stockport Grammar School, we enrol new participants on 8th May 2012. This is a compulsory evening which pupils and their parents must attend if they wish to be considered for the award.

The cost to enrol is £100.

This includes administration costs, registration with the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, all expedition training and both practice and qualifying expedition camp fees, supervision and assessment.

Not included are transport to and from activities, equipment hire and food.

Silver

The cost to enrol is £100.

This includes administration costs, registration with the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, all expedition training and both practice and qualifying expedition camp fees, supervision and assessment.

Not included are transport to and from activities, equipment hire and food.

Pupils currently doing bronze can enrol for silver after their fifteenth birthday providing they have completed one section of their bronze programme but will remain as a direct entrant until the bronze level is completed. Any pupil wishing to continue on to silver level must enrol by 8th May 2012.

Pupils who have completed the bronze level but not at Stockport Grammar School can enrol at the enrolment evening in May. Pupils and their parents must attend if they wish to be considered for the award.

Pupils who have never completed or participated at bronze level can enrol as a direct silver entrant at the enrolment evening in March. Pupils and their parents must attend if they wish to be considered for the award.

Gold

The cost to enrol is £100.

This includes administration costs, registration with the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, some expedition training, practice expedition camp fees and supervision and 2 x £10 deposits towards the training weekend and qualifying expedition trips.

Not included (unless included as part of a trip) are transport to and from activities, equipment hire and food.

The cost of trips is worked out individually depending which area is chosen.
