Infants
Each of the Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 classes has a full-time qualified teaching assistant, who supports the class teacher. The children are taught by specialist teachers in some subjects such as Modern Foreign Languages, IT, Music, Science and PE. Pupils also have a regular swimming lesson.
The children in the Infant Department have a separate playground as well as being able to use the main Junior School playgrounds and fields for their supervised playtimes.
At the end of Year 2 most children move automatically from the Infant Department to the Junior Department.
