In the event of further snowfall, those using the SGS bus services are advised to check with the operators for any changes to routes. Details of bus operators are available below. In the interests of safety we ask parents to make every effort to avoid bringing cars on site unless absolutely necessary. It may be necessary to restrict car parking in adverse weather conditions.

Parents should continue to exercise their own judgement whether conditions in their immediate vicinity make it advisable to attend school. Uniform should be combined with suitable outdoor footwear and warm coats as conditions on the site are likely to remain cold for the foreseeable future.

In the event of sudden deterioration in weather conditions during a school day, it may prove necessary for boys and girls using school transport to leave early. For all other pupils we will follow the bad weather contingency plan that parents have provided for us, as recorded on the school database. Boys and girls who come on foot and/or live locally will normally be expected to remain until the end of afternoon school. Individual pupils leaving the premises will need to obtain specific permission from the School Office or a senior member of staff. Clearly if this contingency arrangement is to operate smoothly, boys and girls must understand that there can be no deviation from the established and communicated family agreement. Pupils should not telephone parents to request alternative arrangements.
