Before school

Breakfast Club

Breakfast Club is open from 7.30am and is available for all children in the Junior School. This is accessed via the main Sports Hall entrance which leads to the swimming pool.

You can book Breakfast Club by calling the school office on 0161 419 2405 or emailing juniorafterschool@stockportgrammar.co.uk.

From 8am, pupils in Year Two can join with the children already in Breakfast Club to be looked after by our Breakfast Club team. Children in Year Two and above are able to chat and play in the school playgrounds, supervised by our team of duty staff. There is no charge for supervision from 8am.

After school

Runs every day after school.

Cost and times

Cost per session:

  • £3.50 until 4.30pm
  • £6.50 until 6pm


Activities include:

  • arts and crafts
  • board games
  • computers
  • films
  • outdoor games
  • sports
  • toys

Juniors will also have the opportunity to do their homework.

Holiday care

Holiday care runs on the following dates:

  • Autumn half-term: Monday 23rd October – Friday 3rd November 2017
  • Spring half-term: Monday 19th – Friday 23rd February 2018
  • Easter break: Tuesday 3rd – Friday 13th April 2018
  • Summer break: Monday 9th July – Friday 24th August 2018

Opening times

Starts: 8.30am
Finishes: 5.45pm prompt (late collections are charged at £20 per hour)


£20 per day, payable by cheque (no cash please).


Activities include:

  • baking
  • bike rides
  • computers
  • dressing up
  • messy arts
  • model-making
  • films
  • parachute games
  • sports days

Warm and waterproof clothing is needed as we try to spend as much time outside as possible. Practical clothing is advisable for all activities.

Children must wear their cycle helmet for bike rides.


Children should bring drinks and snacks for break times and a packed lunch.
