Stockport Grammar School offers a broad and balanced curriculum for all children.
Each department is housed in its own well-equipped suite of rooms. Subjects are taught by well qualified specialists, with each department being led by a head of department, who is responsible for managing day to day teaching and learning, monitoring pupils’ progress and developing the curriculum to ensure that boys and girls are able to go beyond simply covering a body of knowledge.
There is a varied programme of lunchtime and after school clubs which allow pupils to channel their enthusiasm for particular subjects.
Many departments make use of day and residential trips to extend understanding; these are funded by the school where they form an integral part of the programmes of study.
