Staff are always happy to assist pupils on a one to one basis. The following sessions run regularly to help pupils consolidate or extend their work in the classroom.

Astronomy (GCSE) Third and Fourth Years in 2011 – 2012. Second and Third Years in 2012 – 2013   Currently Mondays 4pm to 5pm. Next new intake is in September 2012.   If more than 15 apply then dependent on satisfactory grades in Physics and Maths. See Mrs Dawson or Mrs Hird. 2 year course – intake every 2 years. 1 hour per week, plus additional study at home and practicals. Exam in May. Maximum 15 pupils

Extra English Upper Sixth   June to December, Wednesdays 12.30 to 1.30pm, plus from September also Mondays and Tuesdays at 4pm   Mrs Cope All Upper Sixth welcome, especially those considering English at university. Critical discussion and wide reading of a rang of texts from the literary canon and of pupils’ choice.
