The Stopfordian Parents’ Association uniform sale offers parents the opportunity to buy and sell uniform items and sportswear at a fraction of the normal cost, to get spare kit for emergencies or for when there is no time to wash, and to replace items which are lost or damaged.
How to sell
We accept good quality, clean, current uniform and school sportswear, football, rugby, hockey and cricket boots and running spikes. We also accept cricket and hockey equipment such as bats, pads, sticks.
Goods should be taken to the truck outside the Bursary on the Monday or Tuesday prior to the sale. Sales are held in usually in the Exhibition Room on Wednesdays. Dates are listed below and in the school calendar each term. Reminders will be sent prior to each sale.
All items must be clearly marked with the child’s full name, form and telephone number. If you have more than one child at the school please use one name only.
You may price goods otherwise they will be priced on receipt. Items sold for £2.50 or less will be accepted as a donation to SPA funds. If you wish to donate other goods these should be labelled “funds”.
Cricket and hockey equipment must be priced or they will not be accepted.
After selling
When goods are sold you will receive 75% of the selling price, the other 25% going to SPA funds. Infants and Junior School pupils will be given the money by their teachers. Senior School pupils will be handed a slip by their teacher and on producing this at the Bursary will receive the money. If the money is uncollected by the next sale they will be sent a reminder and if still uncollected the money will go to the SPA funds.
Unsold goods may be reduced in price after 6 months and disposed of for charity at our discretion after 1 year. Unsold goods may be reclaimed at any sale but we cannot undertake to return them ourselves.
Please note that neither the SPA nor the school can be held responsible for any loss of goods.
