The school’s plans to redevelop the teaching facilities on the Woodsmoor part of the site will shortly move to the next phase.
The first phase, completed in the summer of 2010 was the demolition of the Woodsmoor hall and old laboratories in the south-east corner of the site.
After being granted planning permission for the whole project, the school has now discharged all the conditions attached to the permission and therefore plans to allow the contractors onto the site to start preparation of the site and construction. The construction is scheduled to be completed by the spring of 2012 and the final phase will then be to demolish the black and white tower and Classics teaching block as soon as possible and landscape the remaining area.
