Nathan ‘Allan’ Haworth (OS 1947)
Stockport Grammar School is sad to report that Mr Nathan ‘Allan’ Haworth (OS 1947) sadly passed away on 19th June 2016.
Mr Haworth led a fascinating career in the farming industry where he made major advancements which became internationally recognised.
He leaves behind his daughters, Helen & Susan, and his wife Joan following 60 years of marriage. Mr Haworth was proud to have celebrated his Diamond Wedding Anniversary in June 2015.
Mr Haworth’s brothers, Dr Brian Haworth (OS 1944) & Dr Philip Haworth (OS 1951), also attended Stockport Grammar School.
Mr Haworth’s funeral was held at Kelsall Methodist Church, Kelsall, Cheshire on Tuesday, 28th June 2016.
